The annual general meeting of the Malta
Football Referees Association was held on Monday 30th
June 2008.
The Administrative report presented by the
Hon. Secretary., Alan Camilleri was approved with minor
amendments. The Treasurer Andre’Arciola, then read out the
audited accounts which showed a healthy balance. This was
also unanimously approved by the members.
The President of the Association, Lawrence
Sammut, addressed the gathering and dealt at length with the
efforts being made by the association to combat any
incidents during football matches. He appealed for unity and
explained that the association was there to help members.
As none of the top officials were up for
election as according to the statute these are elected for
two years, no election was held for the ordinary members of
the committee as there were five members nominated, the
exact number needed.
